A Six-Year Milestone Worth Talking About
Six years ago, Carlo Jiff de Guzman walked into Creative Media Marketing during what felt like the edge of chaos. It was one of the most uncertain times in recent history, the kind of era that makes you question your footing. Yet, looking back today, Carlo smiles at the survival of it all. “It’s hard to believe it’s already been six years,” he reflects. “I joined Creative Media Marketing during one of the most uncertain times in recent history, and somehow we’re all still here, older, hopefully wiser, and with a lot more stories to tell.”
His own story reads less like a standard corporate climb and much like a high stakes adventure. Carlo bypassed the traditional slow ladder, leaping across departments instead. Starting out in the gritty, hands on world of a Production Manager, he pivoted sharply in 2020 to hold the company’s purse strings as Chief Financial Officer. Just as he mastered the balance sheets, 2021 called him up to the cockpit as Chief Operating Officer.
To jump from managing the factory floor to balancing the budget, and then to steering the entire company’s operations in just two years takes a rare kind of alchemy. It requires a mind that can obsess over the smallest operational cog while simultaneously visualizing the grand financial map. By the time Carlo took the COO reins, he already knew how the company ran, knowing exactly how it breathed.
Yet, sit down with him, and you will hear a conversation focused entirely on teamwork rather than corporate strategy or personal ambition. He speaks with the quiet gratitude of a leader who survived the trenches with his favorite people. For Carlo, the real currency of the last six years belongs to the trust given by his peers and the massive opportunities to learn from challenges. As he beautifully sums it up, “I’m grateful for the trust, opportunities, and friendships I’ve gained along the way.”
Carlo’s six year milestone at CMM stands as a masterclass in resilience and adaptability. He stands as living proof that the best leaders are those who grow closer to their team during a storm. Looking ahead, he holds a heavy chest of memories and shares a simple, sincere thank you to the people who walked the road with him.
